lupe fiasco has released a new track that appears to be the itunes bonus song for his HIGHLY ANTICIPATED new album Lasers. the song is entitled Solar Midnite. the best way to describe this [to hardcore Lupe fans] is Japanese Cartoon minus the accent. so...no complaints.
norah jones can do no wrong. i was listening to take off your cool before i ran into this video. that womanis extremely gifted with that voice.
this is a video for life is better from q-tip's the renaissance. lovely. i like that this video is in black and white. for more reason than you'd think.
i, sometimes, have trouble describing how beautiful i think something is. i blame my lack of an intricate vocabulary. but, i say this, because i can't quite put my finger on the best adjective to describe how dope i think this video is. if norah jones drew pictures with her voice, in my mind, this video is how those pictures would look.
-why is drake looking down? in fact...why is drake always looking away from the camera? is that an acting technique that i am unaware of?
-eminem + hoodie = creeptastic. every time.
-i would have like it better if they faded to pictures of what drake was saying [i.e., nino brown. finding nemo.] instead of pics of lebron. that just makes no sense...
-drake and ryan leslie are two artist who move their hands madd awkwardly while perfoming. and maybe kanye...
-aside from me liking this song as much as i do, this video is not very entertaining. so far.
-baby is 40-something. and he goes by the name "baby". sorry...random thought.
-"but what should i scream for? this is my themepark." ha! i like his expression after he said that.
-so....the white guy is the one who bring the goons with him? nice.
-drake looking like jigga man at the end of the video.
love this song since the first time i heard it on fallon [which i haven't watched in ages]. and i know the video will be just as dope as the song.
honestly? if bet and radio gives this song a chance, it will be loved. just like "i know i can" by nas was loved back in the day. it has that kind of appeal to it. and bet/black radio needs this! i mean drake and kanye and jay are doing their thing right now...but they aren't doing this.
love love love this song. i have yet to see lupe perform live. i slack so much before it's time to buy tickets for any concert. then proceed to complain about how i missed out on historical performances.
concerts i missed last summer:
common and n.e.r.d.
the roots and ummm....mos def i think? or maybe it was nas...
nas and talib kweli
kanye and lupe and nerd and whoever else performed at glow in the dark. rihanna?
